Creating perfect system links
Prior to this project, Lamy used a leaner media management system and did not yet have a fully-fledged digital asset management software. After extensive market analysis Lamy chose Tessa DAM perfect, linked to a Product Information Management Software from Akeneo. One of the biggest challenges in the project was the comprehensive categorisation of the media during the initial import into the DAM. Here a complex set of rules with more than 50 rules was defined. Another challenge was the definition of different user groups for more than 16 key countries. In addition, a high but targeted coordination effort with the customer was necessary to achieve the objectives.
DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT WITH TESSA
Our self-developed TESSA DAM system supports manufacturers and dealers ideally in the management of digital assets (images, documents, videos, etc.). Our DAM tool can be used independently or in combination with a PIM system (e.g. Akeneo PIM). We offer the deployment options: SaaS, on-site (on-premise) installation and private cloud. With numerous available connectors and plug-ins we adapt our DAM system to your special needs.

User interface based on the corporate design
TESSA's user interface was adapted to individual customer requirements. The complete design language of the Lamy company, such as common colours, fonts and the wording were customised in the Digital Asset Management System. For the key users, this measure greatly enhanced the user experience from the outset and they were able to start work immediately in their familiar environment.
Integration of the Akeneo Tessa connector
For Lamy it was very important to have a perfect connection between Akeneo PIM and Tessa DAM to create a very good basis for a multichannel marketing strategy. Here the mature Tessa Akeneo connector could make the decision easier for the company. The connector has been equipped with a special feature to enable users to upload faster directly from Akeneo.
Power Point and Excel export
TESSA enables the customer to automatically create Power Point presentations from the respective media collections. The presentations are generated in the desired template with the appropriate start and conclusion. In addition, a special data export for Excel files was created for Lamy, which can be highly configured.
Up-to-date about new product images
By creating asset collections in Tessa, media can be specifically distributed to the desired user group. In the case of Lamy, all user groups in the respective countries always receive the current media collection intended for them. In this way, the distribution of graphics can be controlled globally.
Smooth use worldwide
The SaaS system solution creates maximum availability and usability of Tessa DAM worldwide. Through an individually adapted rights and role management system, access rights to media are specifically managed for the individual country groups.
Always up-to-date product data
The perfectly created link between Tessa DAM and Akeneo PIM ensures that the product data in both systems is always up-to-date. The implemented connector synchronises the data between both systems. Thus Lamy was able to reduce the publication time of their products on the individual e-commerce channels significantly.
